Biotechnology & Advanced Digital Graphics:
New Courses at MCHS
Each year, faculty at Moreau Catholic High School create new course offerings to better meet the needs of all students. We are excited to offer 4 new classes for the 2012-2013 school year that will prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.
New to our Science,Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) courses will be the following: Biotechnology
, a class which will give students the opportunity to study the emerging biotechnology industry and get hands-on experience in this exciting field where science, medicine, engineering, and technology intersect.
Advanced Digital Graphics
, will offer an in-depth experience in the world of digital media and its application to typography, design layout, logos, and illustration.
Next year, we will also offer American Justice & Law
, which gives students an overview of the inner workings of the nation’s judicial system from the role of law to the decisions of the bench. This course will be the foundation for participation in the school’s Mock Trial team. For incoming 9th graders, we will offer Algebra 1 Essentials
, a course providing additional math support concurrent with a student's algebra 1 course. These new courses will be reflected in the upcoming Course Description Guide
. MCHS Counselors will begin meeting with students to schedule their courses for the 2012-13 school year soon.
