Scholarships
As a part of Moreau's mission, we strive to make a Moreau education available to all qualified students, regardless of economic background. One way you can have a direct impact on the life of a student in need is by establishing a scholarship fund.
Fully Endowed Scholarships
Fully endowed scholarship can be established with a minimum gift of $25,000 to pay tribute to an individual while providing needed scholarship funds to a deserving student. The principal gift is held inviolate and the scholarship is funded with the earnings of the investment. The Director of Institutional Advancement works with the donor to establish scholarship criteria at the inception of the fund. A $25,000 endowment currently funds one month of tuition.
Named Scholarships
Named scholarships are established with accumulated gifts of $5,000 or more. Family or friends of whom the fund is named determine award criteria. Until exhausted, monies from a named scholarship fund are awarded to qualifying students. Many families and friends continue to send gifts to a named scholarship fund; this has the effect of extending the longevity of the scholarship fund over the years.
Memorial Gifts
Memorial gifts are received by the school in memory of a departed loved one. Unless otherwise designated, accumulated memorial gifts under $5,000 are added to the Congregation of Holy Cross Memorial Scholarship Fund that supports currently enrolled students who are met with unexpected financial hardship.
