Help Shape the Future of Catholic Schools
The Diocese of Oakland is embarking on a strategic planning process to ensure that our Catholic schools are vital and viable for generations to come.  Help re-imagine the future of our schools! All school families, faculty and staff are invited to share their perspectives and ideas about Catholic schools in an anonymous Community Online Survey that can be accessed by clicking here.

Final exams
Final exams are scheduled for May 17-20 for all students. Dismissal on May 17-19 will be at 11:15 a.m. Dismissal on May 20 will be at 9:25 a.m. A medical illness with a doctor’s note is the only acceptable reason for missing a final exam. Click here to learn more.

Semester Grades
Semester grades will be mailed out during the week of June 7, 2010. Parents are reminded that in all courses required for college admissions, a grade of “C-” or better is required. A semester grade of D or F in a course required for college admission should be made up. A great way to do this is to take a summer school course. Please feel free to contact your child’s counselor if you have any questions. Click here for summer school registration.

Congratulations
Class of 2010!

Dear Students, Parents and Friends:

As another school year draws to a close, we honor and celebrate the class of 2010 as they begin their final month of classes, exams, athletic events, dances, and activities at Moreau Catholic High School. We are very proud of their accomplishments, and salute all parents for their support and encouragement.

For the seniors, it is a time of sad goodbyes and exciting, new beginnings. This month’s events include Senior Box Social on May 14th, where seniors celebrate their friendships with food and music; the Senior BBQ and Grad Night cruise on May 20th are not to be missed; Baccalaureate Mass the following night, May 21st, brings our faith community together in liturgy; and graduation at the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, May 23 —a busy and memorable month for the class of 2010.

May God’s blessings be with them as they graduate from Moreau Catholic. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the faculty, staff and administration, I bid farewell to the class 2010 and wish them great luck and much success!

I would also like to extend my thanks to all of the parents who attended our Evening of Excellence and Academic Assembly ceremonies in April. We honored over 250 students in all four grades for their outstanding work in academics, service, leadership, athletics, and co-curricular activities. I would also like to recognize the many parents who helped partner with our teachers and students for this year’s Earth Week. On April 20, 2010, Moreau Catholic received the Environmental Achievement Award from the City of Hayward, for our environmental protection and awareness activities.

Thank you for everything you have done this year in our partnership to educate the hearts and minds of our students.

God bless our Moreau family, and I wish everyone a pleasant and restful summer!

Sincerely,
Lauren Lek
Principal
