| | Dear Parents and Class of 2013, Each year Moreau offers students a retreat experience designed to invite them to experience personal and spiritual growth. At each class level, the retreat program has a different theme that builds to the next year and, ultimately, to the Senior Kairos retreat experience.
In the Freshman year, our retreat theme is “Spirit of Holy Cross.” We plan to introduce our freshmen to some of the philosophy behind a Holy Cross education. More specifically, the retreat will be build around: Being Family, Bringing Hope, Building Respect, Educating Hearts and Minds and also around the school goal of forming our students to be global citizens with a strong moral compass in service to others. It is our hope that by the time our students graduate from Moreau, they will have integrated these themes into their daily lives.
This retreat is led by our senior students who are members of the Campus Ministry Team and is supervised by faculty members and the Campus Minister. One of our aims is for the freshmen to get to know themselves and their classmates. The retreat is also an opportunity to learn what it means to belong to the Holy Cross family.
The retreats will be held on Gold Days. Please see the FROSH Day of Prayer Schedule. The day will begin at 8:00 am in G-23 and end at 2:35 pm after the closing Eucharistic celebration. All retreat activities will take place on the school grounds and Campus Ministry will provide a pizza lunch. All students are expected to participate in the FROSH Retreat Day of Prayer. Any requests for exceptions must be addressed to and approved by the Assistant Principal for Campus Life, Mr. Shelley.
