CALLING ALL ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL MISSION SAN JOSE ALUMNI
50th Anniversary Celebration
: St. Joseph School Mission San Jose will be celebrating 50 years of excellence in education on October 10, 2010. Come "Back to where you once belonged!" and say "HI" to Ms. Phyllis Taurosa, Sister Mary Virginia, Ms. Paula Pardini, Mrs. Jane Simon, Mrs. Marsha Nieman - a few of the past staff who will be there. A 12:30pm Mass will kick off the celebration of family fun, festivities & food at SJS. All School Alumni and families are invited to attend. PHOTO RE-TAKES
Friday, September 10th is the last day for students and faculty to take their school photos. This is also an opportunity for those of you who didn't like the way your pictures turned out the first time to have another go. Photos will be taken in the student center during lunch on Friday. /kt

SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Mariners, don't forget that we are constantly updating service opportunities on the Moreau website. We have two upcoming events where students can earn extensive hours. On Saturday, September 25th, there will be a clean-up effort at Meek Estate Park in Hayward for those looking to do their environmental service hours. Also, on September 25th and 26th, you can sign up to work the St. Clement Festival and earn almost 15 hours in one weekend! For those of you interested in after school tutoring, the St. Felicitas Homework Club also starts next week. Students can work up to 2 hours a day after school with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION
This is a reminder that all juniors and seniors wishing to be a member of the California Scholarship Federation must submit their application by September 15 (Wednesday). Applications are available at the Counseling Resource Center and will also be available at the CSF table at the Join-a-Club week event in the Main Gym on Monday and Wednesday during collaboration. /jp

Testing day is coming up on October 13. Seniors should use that day for college visitations. Please see you counselor to help you organize a visit to a college you are planning to appy to. /ma

Surf and Ocean Action Club

MARINER ATHLETICS
This Friday, September 10, is the first home football game! All students with Motley Crew T-shirts may wear their t-shirt to school on Friday (NO JEANS) and wear them to the game to get in free. All booster members should remember to bring their pass to the game to get in, and don't forget your thermal mug and your refill coupon! Frosh Soph game begins at 4:15-Varsity at 7:00. Admission is $2.00 for Students and $5.00 for Adults!
