The Moreau Fund

The Moreau Fund is the financial cornerstone of Moreau Catholic High School’s fundraising efforts. Supporting the school’s annual operating budget, The Moreau Fund ensures our ability to maintain the outstanding academic and cocurricular programs that distinguish Moreau from other institutions.

Because the school does not receive any funding from the local or state government, the Diocese of Oakland, or any parish, we look to our extended family of parents, alumni, alumni families, friends and community leaders to bridge the gap between the cost of educating our students and the income received through tuition. Tuition and fees cover  91 percent of the cost to educate, resulting in a gap of $830 per student.

Your generous support of The Moreau Fund will enable us to:

Provide exceptional academic and cocurricular programs
  • Through our college-preparatory curriculum, students  become life-long learners and effective communicators.
  • Moreau students become knowledgeable and skillful in areas of moral and ethical decision-making, critical thinking, accountability, and adaptability.

  • Moreau’s state-of-the-art technology infrastructure provides our students with the tools necessary to succeed in the 21st century.

  • Our cocurricular programs provide formative activities that foster community, leadership, creativity and sportsmanship.
Provide talented and dedicated faculty and staff
  • Moreau is committed to professional growth and training opportunities for all faculty and staff.

  • Our faculty and staff are dedicated to inspiring our students, nurturing their spiritual and academic growth and preparing them for a global world.
Provide a Moreau Catholic education for students from all socio-economic backgrounds
  • Moreau offers a generous tuition assistance program allowing deserving students from all backgrounds the opportunity to receive a
    Moreau education.

  • This year, Moreau distributed $638,000 in tuition assistance to approximately 17 percent of our student body, reducing their tuition by an average of 35 percent.

  • In response to an increased need from our families, the tuition assistance budget was increased by more than $140,000 for the 2009-2010 school year.
