The Visual and Performing Arts Department encourages students whose interests and abilities show promise in vocal and choral music to pursue a consistent, multi-year commitment to the program, as it can be of benefit in the college admissions evaluation of a student’s portfolio.

Students interested in vocal and choral music start with our introductory chorus course, where they participate in an ensemble and learn basic techniques, music history, sight-singing skills and music theory. As students develop their techniques, they may continue on to more advanced choirs in subsequent years.

Recent graduates of Moreau’s Vocal & Choral Music Program have attended Oberlin College-Conservatory of Music, NYU, and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
