College Counseling Program
Beginning in 9th grade, our counselors introduce SCOIR, our college and career research and planning tool, and guide them through a career interest survey and college search.
Every spring, we meet individually with students to discuss their academic progress and course selection for the following year, ensuring they are taking courses that allow them to pursue their college and career goals.
In 11th grade, we provide our students and parent/guardians information and resources on building a balanced college list and how to prepare for the college application process through individual meetings, group meetings, and a parent night. In the summer, we host our College Bootcamp to walk juniors through various application platforms, building their college list, and drafting their PIQ response and personal statements.
In 12th grade, we are hands on in the college application process and support students through their college decisions. Our approach values meeting students where they are, challenging them, and promoting balance while collaborating with families.
In addition, students may join us for annual college trips and 50+ on-campus college rep visits. Follow us on Instagram @moreaucatholiccounseling for more information and helpful reminders.
