Moreau Catholic is an environment that celebrates individual achievement, where students find their voice while developing their ability to appreciate and understand the perspectives of others.

Our students thrive because they are both challenged and supported by a faculty whose mission is to cultivate talent, curiosity, and the ambition of each and every one of our students.

We value the Well-Rounded Student

At Moreau Catholic, we are focused on educating the whole student. Your classmates will be artists, researchers, athletes, dancers, people of faith, musicians, scientists, filmmakers, and programmers.

In and out of the classroom, Moreau Catholic students cultivate their talent and develop as leaders in a wide array of programs. They learn teamwork and problem solving, as well as moral and ethical decision-making. When our students graduate, they possess the confidence and character required of leaders.

We are committed to Academic Excellence

Every year, our students are accepted to some of the most prestigious universities in the country – and abroad. See where Moreau Graduates have gone.

Our rigorous college-preparatory curriculum prepares students for excellence in college and life through an emphasis on technology, such as Bioprinting, and real-life application of knowledge.

Students direct their academic pursuits while choosing from more than 46 Honors and Advanced Placement courses, including an Honors dance class.

We celebrate our Diverse Community

Moreau Catholic High School seeks to foster an environment that values, honors, and respects the inherent differences in our students, faculty, and staff populations. We know that our school benefits from the ideas, experiences, and perspectives of a diverse and inclusive community. Through our cultural, service and social clubs, the Student Leadership Council and Equity Council, we provide equitable and inclusive programs, events, and resources that embrace our diverse community.

We are leaders in Classroom Innovation

As educators of 21st-century learners, we are challenged to rethink school and to evaluate the emerging needs of this new generation of learners. Our team of educators focuses on teaching students how to think rather than what to think.

Our Science Innovation Lab offers zSpace technology featuring virtual holographic technology in a student-centered learning environment. In our Design Studio, students apply scientific principles in an environment that promotes risk-taking and invention.

Our Media Arts Center is an extension of our television studio and includes on-site technology for producing films, live television broadcasts, the yearbook, and the school newspaper.

We believe in the Power of Faith Formation and Social Justice

The setting of a Catholic, college-preparatory high school provides a unique opportunity where academic theology and practical pastoral experience can interact for the enrichment of the whole community. As stated in our mission: As a community of faith, we prepare our students through academic, social, and spiritual learning experiences that form and transform them as they become responsible citizens of our global community.

Our Holy Cross Social Justice Program seeks to transform the hearts and minds of students through service, reflection, and experiential learning. We challenge our students to be involved in their local communities by volunteering in response to the needs that are present there. Students will complete a Senior Capstone project by identifying needs in the world they are passionate about, exploring the tools for transformation, and inventing new solutions reflective of their high school experience.

Students come to Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward from Fremont, San Mateo, San Francisco, and beyond. Our International Student program offers excellent opportunities for students around the world.
