Athletic Updates: May 17, 2023

Athletics Highlights

Thursday May 18th, we are excited to honor our last group of senior student-athletes who will be signing to continue their athletic careers in college. The celebration begins at 1:30 pm in the Main gym. Come support our Mariners in this momentous event. 

All-League Recognition and Awards

Congratulations to our Varsity Badminton Team who earned the North Coast Section Scholastic Championship Team award for their cumulative team GPA of 3.82. This earned the team the first place award for Academic Teams for badminton in all of NCS Division II. 

Congratulations to our Varsity Softball Team who earned the North Coast Section Scholastic Championship Team award for their cumulative team GPA of 3.72. This earned the team the third place award for Academic Teams for softball in all of NCS Division III.

Playoffs Upcoming Events 

We would like to congratulate all our track and field athletes and give special attention to our athletes that made it to the North Coast Section Meet of Champions on May 19th and May 20th. 

Boys’ Volleyball clinched the #4 seed in Division II in the CIF NorCal Regional Championship playoffs. The team defeated Ripon Christian in Round 1. The team will compete in the semi-finals against Bishop O’Dowd at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 18th. This is the farthest the team has gone in Moreau Catholic program history! We hope to see all our Mariners come out to support the team.

Girls’ Softball dominated in Game 1 of the NCS Division III Championship playoffs as they were the #3 seed. The team will play in the quarter-finals on Friday, May 19th at Larry Standley Field.
