The fall season is in full swing as all seven fall sports have started competing in games. 

Football opened their season against Campolindo High School on the road. This was their first game under the leadership of Coach Keith Minor. The team will compete against San Marin High School on September 9th in Novato. The team is excited for the home opener on Friday, September 16th. 

Rally Squad knocked the house down at the opening rally earlier this week, teaching students, staff, and parents game day cheers and getting the community fired up for the upcoming school year. This was their first appearance under head coach Juanita Castillo. The team debuted their routine filled with stunting, tumbling, and high energy!

Boys' and Girls' Water Polo have battled through their non-league games the past few weeks. The nail-biting games have been electric to watch and only preview what is to come when the team begins MVAL league play this upcoming Wednesday against Newark Memorial. 

Girls' Tennis has dominated their pre-season matches with a record of 2-1. The team is led by new coaches, Mark Alhadate and Flor Silva. The team gets a quick break with games next week and then goes straight into league play starting September 13th against Newark Memorial.

Girls' Golf had record-breaking numbers of students coming out to join the team this year. The stacked 18 members that compose both varsity and junior varsity team are 1-1 with their competitions early into the season. 

Girls' Volleyball held their first-ever Mariner Girls Volleyball Jamboree during the first week of school. JV hosted over 10 schools throughout the Bay Area and Varsity hosted 12 schools. This event brought over 200 spectators who enjoyed the numerous games with special vendor, Ume Tea. Fans enjoyed boba milk tea to cool down from the heat of these captivating games. 

Cross Country opened its season at Newark Memorial this past week. The Mariners competed against the 8 schools throughout the MVAL. Congrats to Jacob Hupke’23 for coming in first place for the 2 mile run. All results can be found here
