Athletics Transfer Policy
We look forward to working with our incoming students! We have a rich athletic tradition at Moreau Catholic High School and a bright future ahead. Our tremendous athletes, in all sports, strive to become greater on and off the playing field and truly embody heart, faith and courage in all that they do.
As part of the admissions process, a prospective transfer student to Moreau Catholic should always consider their ability to be eligible for participation in interscholastic sports. While not every transfer student will desire to compete athletically at Moreau Catholic, they should be aware of the rules that govern their eligibility once they enrolls in the school.
Eligibility Information and Required Forms:
Transferring from one school to another school may affect a student-athlete’s athletic eligibility under NCS and CIF rules. It is your responsibility to see the Athletic Director for a copy of eligibility rules, or information where eligibility rules can be viewed.
The North Coast Section (NCS) of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has a detailed process for athletic eligibility that an applicant should review prior to making a formal decision to enroll.
Furthermore, certain forms must be completed prior to any Moreau Catholic Athletics activity. All transfer students interested in gaining athletic eligibility at Moreau Catholic are encouraged to fill out the Parent/Student Certification form on the CIF website and connect with our Athletics Department before the start of the school year.
