Students of the Month Criteria
The recognition of students who demonstrate academic, personal, and social responsibility. Students from each grade level will be selected every month. The selected students will get a certificate, their picture taken with the principal, plus a “go to the front of the lunch line” pass, good for one month.

Araceli Catalan | Jesse Jimenez | 11 | Building Respect | Jesse Jimenez has earned the Student of the Month award for his remarkable efforts in building respect by showing self-management, responsible decision-making, and self-discipline, demonstrating accountability in his actions. He has shown so much improvement already by asking for help and ensuring that assignments are completed in a timely manner. He has told me several times that he wants to excel in math this year. His dedication to improvement and willingness to seek help have already set him up for success. Congratulations, Jesse, on this well-deserved recognition! |

She was sick for a whole week, she knew we had a very important "whole class" presentation, and she did not want to disrupt that, so she joined the class via zoom. This action showed her commitment and dedication to learning. |

Wainwright | Samantha Chun | 12 | Bringing Hope | Sam Chun is an INCREDIBLE student leader as a Link Crew leader and Earthwise President. She worked so hard helping to prepare an outstanding Advisory lesson on sustainability, from the lesson details to the materials (and delivering the materials), and then in my advisory class (which she is a part of), she did an AMAZING job of teaching and leading our group (with verbal checks for understanding and everything!). Not to mention being an "executive council" leader on Link Crew, contributing significantly to making all the frosh feel welcome at the start of the school year. |
