Students of the Month | February 2025

Students of the Month Criteria

The recognition of students who demonstrate academic, personal, and social responsibility. Students from each grade level will be selected every month. The selected students will get a certificate, their picture taken with the principal, plus a “go to the front of the lunch line” pass, which is good for one month.

He really exemplifies all the Holy Cross pillars, but I picked "Educating Hearts and Minds" because he truly seems to be able to balance in a wonderful way both the intellectual and the spiritual.
Fr. Bruce	Zoe Guitche	10	Bringing Hope	Zoe is one of the most intelligent, thoughtful, kind students that I have ever taught. She is wonderful in class and out. She is just so well rounded and a joy to have around. She brings me hope as an integral part of my Honors World History class.
Fr. Bruce	Ja'Ron Price	10	Bringing Hope	Ja'Ron constantly impresses me with his kindness, honesty, hard work, integrity, intelligence and caring. It is so much fun to have him in my Honors World History class. His positive attitude brings me hope for the future.

Matthew Tominaga	Joshua Morrow	12	MM: Pride in Self/School	For going above and beyond to document our sports games, especially football. You took the initiative to go on your own to Fullerton to do what you enjoy for your school and delivered the pictures in a timely manner for marketing purposes.

Henny Chen	Mikayla Low	11	Bring Hope	After successfully fulfilling her French language requirement, she took the initiative to further develop and enhance her Chinese language skills. With a strong passion for learning, she actively engages in practicing and refining her proficiency. Beyond her personal growth, she generously uses her talents to support club operations, participate in various cultural activities, and contribute to the learning environment. Her willingness to help classmates strengthen their language skills demonstrates her dedication to both her own education and the success of those around her.

Ana Patterson	Tilak Patel	12	the four pillars	Tilak has been a model Mariner the whole 4 years. As the president of the Student Senate, he has been a role model for the rest of the group. He has always been very humble and willing to help others. He worked very hard during the winter break to get his certificate to teach CPR to others. Thank you Tilak for your service and for being a great Mariner!
Ana Patterson	Jalen Thomas	12	Educating hearts and minds	Jalen has been a great example of Educating hearts and minds. He is constantly challenging himself; not only with a hard class load, but also being part of student council. He leads by example; his constant participation in class and positive contribution, encourages others to participate. I appreciate his hard work, but I appreacite more his humble ways, and the fact that he is always willing to work with anyone.
Ana Patterson	Eleni Gioukaris	11	Educating hearts and minds	Eleni started the year facing many obstacles; but she is a fighter. Her tenacity and focus on her goals has been an example to others, she is striving now and she helps others to succeed as well. In class, she has become an example to her peers and an inspiration to me. Thank you Eleni.

Jessica Guidotti	Emmanuel Cobarrubia	9	Bringing Hope	I would like to recognize Emmanuel's work ethic and dedication at our volunteer site. Over the whole day, he jumped into any work asked of him with a positive attitude, and despite some really harsh weather conditions, he continued working with perseverance and self-motivation. It was a pleasure to see his commitment to the organization. He is truly a role model to his classmates.
