Students of the Month Criteria

The recognition of students who demonstrate academic, personal, and social responsibility. Students from each grade level will be selected every month. The selected students will get a certificate, their picture taken with the principal, plus a “go to the front of the lunch line” pass, good for one month.

Mandi is extremely bright - one of my very best students, intellectually. But Mani also is a person of the heart, with a deep desire to serve others and make the world a better place.

Fr Bruce	Danica Pong	9	Educating Hearts and Minds	Dani was one of my freshman students at the start of the semester, when I was subbing for Coach Ben. Dani impressed me right away for their inquisitive mind, full of curiosity and great insights, but also, for their "heart" of concern for others in the class. I really miss Dani's entire class, and feel greatly blessed to have had Dani in my class, alas only for 2 months!

She jumps in whenever and wherever needed to help, especially in class discussions and class activities. She makes it a real joy to teach because of her contagiously positive attitude and her insightful ideas which she willingly shares in class to enhance our classroom discussions.

Her skillful approach to projects inspires peers and elevates classroom discussions. Savannah is highly engaged, always eager to explore new techniques and share ideas.

Henny Chen	Yimei Zeng	10	Bring Hope	Yimei consistently completes her work with maturity and steadiness, demonstrating a strong dedication to her studies. What sets her apart is her willingness to go above and beyond by encouraging her peers and helping them improve. When the class needed someone to practice multiple times, Yimei stepped up and supported her classmates without hesitation or complaint. She’s truly a positive presence in the classroom, and her contributions enhance the learning environment for everyone. It’s a pleasure to have her in class.

Not only does she master language skills with remarkable speed, but she also actively supports her classmates, offering them encouragement and constructive feedback. Henny Chen	Flora Li	11	Bring Hope	Ziqing is the new club president this year and has taken on the responsibility of planning and executing a wide range of activities. Watching her develop and grow as a leader has been an absolute joy. She handles her role with dedication and enthusiasm, making sure that every event runs smoothly. In addition to her leadership duties, she also takes time after school to tutor Chinese 1 learners, demonstrating her generosity and commitment to helping others succeed. Her efforts truly make a positive impact on the school community, and I am grateful for all she contributes.

He takes time to do his best each project and has been a role model to his peers of what a successful art student shows up as- ready to work, respectful, kind and creative!

She is an active listener and quick learner who applies new techniques seemingly effortlessly. She is an inventive thinker and engaged worker, a pleasure to have in class and always helpful to rely on during discussion and instructions.
Ana Patterson	Gabriella Libot	11	The four Pilars	Gabi has shown in different circumstances what a true mariner is, covering with her actions the description of the four Pilars, she is not only very respectful of others, she is very organized and she helps others whenever they need it. Gaby has become a "to go" person to many of us, and I mean students and staff. Very reliable and with a strong sense of community. I am very proud of her work.

Colleen Galloway	Masooma Shera	12	Building Respect and Bringing Hope	Not only was Masooma a student ambassador greeting visitors at our Articulation Meeting, but she and found $40 in cash and turned it in to an adult. The respect she showed by recognizing this was someone else's money brings me hope and I am so grateful to her!
