Students of the Month Criteria

The recognition of students who demonstrate academic, personal, and social responsibility. Students from each grade level will be selected every month. The selected students will get a certificate, their picture taken with the principal, plus a “go to the front of the lunch line” pass, good for one month.

Henny Chen Sefili Fonua 10 Building Respect In the short time since the start of this year, I’ve seen a significant shift in Sefili's approach to his studies. He displays a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to his work. He actively engages with his peers, collaborates effectively, and strives to meet the high standards set in class. It's clear that he's taking his commitments seriously, and the progress he’s made is truly commendable.
Henny Chen Cody Lin 11 Educating Hearts and Minds Cody is a standout member of the 2024-2025 yearbook editorial team, bringing his exceptional design talent and leadership to the team. He consistently contributes creative ideas, helping to shape the yearbook’s visual identity while inspiring his peers to fully embrace the theme. Cody’s leadership goes beyond creativity—he demonstrates strong organizational skills and is highly reflective, always seeking ways to improve both his own work and the collective efforts of the team. It's my honor to have him in this class.
Henny Chen Olivia Au 9 Building Respect Being a frosh in an upper-level language class is no easy feat, but Olivia rises to the challenge with determination and a positive attitude. She consistently puts in her best effort, tackling difficult material with enthusiasm. Her resilience and optimistic outlook are evident in her dedication to learning and her ability to uplift others around her.
Araceli Catalan Patrix Castellanos 12 Building Respect Patrix has stepped up by making appointments to improve his grades, shown initiative in reaching out with any questions, and is determined to be successful in Algebra 2 this year. His dedication to Self Management, Responsible Decision Making, Self Discipline, and Accountability is truly commendable. Keep up the great work, Patrix!
Kaia Richards Sam Mariveles 9 Bringing Hope Sam brings his "A-game" to class every day. His energy and participation are infectious, and I see his classmates participating more because of him. His positivity is fantastic!
