This event aims to bring hope to less fortunate children in Tonga, as 100% of the donations collected will be directed to this cause. Julia's efforts exemplify how actions can make a difference and bring hope to those in need. Patterson Marissa Hill 11 Being Family Marissa has proven to be an exceptional addition to Honors Spanish 3, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills and a proactive attitude in group settings. Her commitment to teamwork and participation are truly commendable. Moreover, Marissa also wants to support the Polynesian club's efforts with their upcoming show; by promptly volunteering her time and energy to help and participate, Marissa has demostrated the true meaning of our Pilar Being Family, here at Moreau.
Becky Conlon Laurel McLelland 10 Building Respect Laurel is meticulous in her note taking, utilizing techniques to increase her understanding, encoding, and retention. Her effort and self discipline with flip notes are an exemplary role model for her peers. Great job, scholar!
Becky Conlon Brooke Wells 10 Educating Hearts and Minds Brooke unfortunately got sick and missed a few days of class. Upon her recovery and return, she has done an impeccable job communicating about the content missed. She has been advocating for herself and prioritizing actual understanding of content instead of simply going through the motions to turn in an assignment. She is a role model for her peers. Becky Conlon Ava Chavez 12 Bringing Hope Ava has shown her grit and perseverance at the beginning of our AP chemistry class. Despite some bumps at the start, especially with Day 1 of the Green lab, she never lost her gusto. She came back, locked in for Day 2 of the lab, and knocked it out of the park. Great job, scholar!
Becky Conlon Jenna Bulanadi 12 Bringing Hope Jenna has shown that she can dig in, persist, and overcome in our AP chemistry class. Despite some bumps at the start, especially with Day 1 of the Green lab, she stayed positive and focused. She came back, locked in for Day 2 of the lab, and crushed it. Great job, scholar!
Patterson Giselle Ramos 11 Educating Hearts and Minds Giselle has been an exceptional addition to the AP Spanish Language class. Her genuine enthusiasm for learning not only the language but also the Hispanic culture has been truly commendable. She also likes to share her own culture and experiences, and with this, she has enriched the learning environment for the entire class. Giselle's thoughtful contributions and valuable insights have been greatly appreciated, and I am incredibly proud of her dedication and hard work.
Patterson Gabi GIbot 12 Being Family Gabi Libot has consistently been a reliable and helpful individual in various situations, always willing to lend a hand in any task. Currently, she has been an invaluable asset in helping organizing the Polynesian club's upcoming show, coordinating dances, and other performances. As the president of the Filipino club, Gabi has also demonstrated her leadership skills by arranging for club members to participate and contribute to the event.
Gabi's natural leadership qualities are evident in the way students frequently seek her guidance and value her presence. Her ability to create a sense of comfort and belonging among her peers truly exemplifies the spirit of "being Family." Gabi is an outstanding role model for others and a cherished member of our community. I really appreciate you.
Amani Cody Lin 11 Bringing Hope It's only September and yet Cody has already taken initiative to reach out to anyone needing tutoring, already having completed 18 sessions with his peers both after school here in C-07 and on Zoom! He is able to balance his own academics and sports while bringing hope to his peers with his leadership. 
Amani Mahima Rajesh 11 Bringing Hope Anyone who walks in the the door of C07 seeking help with Geometry can rest assured when they see Mahima. She'll stop anything she's doing and get right to it with full respect, patience and attentiveness, breaking down problems and offering practice. She's done so much already these two months by supporting so many students and bringing them hope. 
Amani Tanya Arora 11 Bringing Hope Tanya brings energy and dedication to her tutoring sessions, whether a drop in or an appointment, she will keep going until her peers have more clarity on their math. She definitely brought hope and compassion to her peers.
Amani Luke Allen 11 Bringing Hope Luke was a big support for students needing to attend tutoring sessions to retake a precalc exam. He took initiative and led study groups with multiple students at a time for consecutive days. He brought hope through giving his time to support and challenge his peers. 
Amani Prisha Gupta 12 Bringing Hope I've seen students exhale a sigh of relief when they see Prisha for drop-in tutoring hours. That's a sign they know they are in good hands when they need help with a class. Prisha brings a sense of calm and clarity amidst challenging times to her peers. 
Amani Alex Zhang 11 Bringing Hope Alex has been a consistent support for his peers during office hours and after school drop ins. He makes sure to follow through with his peers, be timely, and offer the structure and support needed to understand any assignment or question. His confidence and character brings hope to students in seek of reliable and thoughtful peer support with their math and spanish classes. 
Amani Nathan Newman 12 Bringing Hope Nathan was a big support for students needing to attend tutoring sessions to retake a precalc exam. He led study groups with multiple students at a time for consecutive days. He brought hope through giving his time to support and challenge his peers. Students tell me they reach out to Nathan during or outside of class for help and he's always willing to set up a time to see them and support them.
