Announcing our new Athletic Director, Tommy Abdenour ’08!
Moreau Catholic High School is thrilled to welcome home Tommy Abdenour ’08 as our new Athletic Director. After an extensive search with talented candidates, Tommy was selected as the committee’s top choice for his athletic leadership experience, wisdom, and strong work ethic. After graduating from Moreau Catholic, Tommy earned his Bachelor’s in Sports Management from the University of Utah and a Master’s in Education: Intercollegiate Athletics Leadership from the University of Washington. Tommy then spent years honing his coaching and management skills at the NCAA Divisions I & II, NBA G League, and NBA 2K League, enjoying success on and off the court while making a transformational impact in the lives of athletes.
Tommy has been involved in all aspects of athletics programs. He is known for his strong organization and communication skills, working closely with student-athletes, coaching staff, and auxiliary staff. He has administrative experience with overseeing budgets, serving as liaison with compliance departments, supporting student-athletes successful transition from high school to college, negotiating team schedules and shared facility usage and managing team travel. No matter the task, Tommy has been recognized for building trust and handling the details positively. Tommy is passionate about excellence and is excited to return to Moreau Catholic and get to know everyone so we can achieve our goals together:
Tommy’s energy and passion for athletics—and Moreau Catholic—inspired the search committee. Tommy demonstrated ambitious goals for excellence, deep knowledge of all sports, passion for our Holy Cross values, respect and care for our students, and a desire to work alongside our coaches, students, and the entire Mariner family to help us take Moreau Catholic athletics to the next level. We are blessed to have Tommy back in this mission-critical leadership position. Please stop by a practice or game soon and welcome Mr. Tommy Abdenour home!

A Few Words from Tommy Abdenour:
Dear Moreau Catholic Community,
Throughout my career, I have fostered relationships with each individual player to learn more about them as a person, their interest, and what drives them to be better. I will continue this trend with every coach, student-athlete, parent, and anyone associated within the Mariner family. Additionally, I am eager to build a partnership with the athletic training staff, strength & conditioning staff, faculty, alumni, and Boosters.
Sincerely,
Tommy Abdenour ’08
