Moreau Catholic recruits for part-time, seasonal coaching positions. Our coaches instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of team and individual success. Coaches offer instruction that will lead to the formation of positive attitudes toward healthy competition, including an appreciation for the value of teamwork, the importance of commitment, and hard work to achieve goals. Seasonal stipends range from $500 - $4,000.

Boys’ Head Lacrosse Coach
Moreau Catholic is currently seeking a Boys’ Head Lacrosse Coach for the Spring 2023. The season begins on February 5, 2024. Applicants should have experience in Lacrosse with coaching, playing, and working with high school athletes at the junior varsity or varsity level. All applicants must possess and maintain all appropriate certifications and/or authorizations for coaching. They must also have a demonstrated ability to teach, organize and supervise their players, assistants, and lower-level coaches. References are required.

Establishment of Program Philosophy - The head coach is responsible for the establishment of a program philosophy (philosophy, skills, techniques..) that will be shared with all levels of the program as well as students and families. All athletic department philosophies including those of effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship should also be shared with our coaches, student-athletes, and parent communities.

Attendance - The head coach is responsible for attending all required school, league, and section meetings and being properly prepared for such meetings.

Equipment - The head coach, in partnership with the athletic department, manages all equipment and uniform maintenance and needs of the program. All equipment orders will be made in consultation with the Athletic Director

Pre-Season Program - The head coach will be responsible for coordinating a pre-season conditioning/lifting or open fields program in conjunction with CIF, NCS, and MVAL bylaws.

Knowledge - The head coach is responsible for maintaining knowledge of all sports, school, league, section, and state rules and bylaws.

Practice - The head coach is responsible for preparing for daily practice with a written practice plan. The head coach is also responsible to attend daily practice and coach our student-athletes in proper and correct techniques.

Supervision - The head coach is responsible for coordinating the supervision of student-athletes before, during, and after workouts.

Paperwork - The head coach is responsible for coordinating team forms for all student-athletes in the program. He/she will be responsible for verifying physical forms before tryouts and all necessary forms once the season starts with the Athletic Director. Finally, the head coach is responsible for completing all school, league, and section paperwork in a timely fashion.

Professional Development - The head coach is responsible for continually updating oneself and the staff in the areas of professional development.

Meetings - The head coach is responsible for planning pre-season meetings with their coaching staff to discuss philosophy, expectations, teaching techniques, the upcoming year, and any other issues that they see as relevant. The head coach is also responsible for planning and putting on a pre-season parent/student meeting and an end of the year potluck celebration.

Support of School Mission - The head coach is responsible for supporting the academic, spiritual, and social mission of the school. It is expected that the head coach keeps abreast of students' academic performances. Finally, it is expected that the head coach supports the spiritual mission of the school by coordinating a program mass, prayer before athletic contests, and a varsity service project.

Budget - The head coach is responsible for coordinating with the athletic director on all budget concerns. It is also the head coach's responsibility to make sure the program acts in compliance with the stated budget.

Promotion of Program - The head coach is responsible for coordinating the marketing and promotion of the program along with the athletic director.

Evaluation - The head coach will be responsible for coordinating a review and evaluation of all staff members with the athletic director.

Certifications - The head coach will be responsible for the completion of all coaches’ certifications including the state CIF class as well as current First Aid and CPR classes.

Tryouts - The head coach will be responsible for administering a tryout period for their sport. The tryout period must last at least 3 days and students must be given a list of items that they will be evaluated on during this tryout period.

Head Varsity Baseball Coach

Rally Squad Dance Coach
We are looking to hire a passionate dance instructor to join our Rally Squad program. You will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and collaborate with the Varsity Cheer coach on routines and to compete at USA Nationals.
If you love to dance, cheer, and enjoy working with high school students, we encourage you to apply. Proven experience as a dance instructor is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:

Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.

Develop dance curriculums and prepare practice plans.

Collaborate with the Varsity Cheer coach on routines

Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.

Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.

Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Choreograph routines and select music for games and competitions

Provide a safe, fun, and creative environment.

Rally Squad JV Cheer Coach
Moreau Catholic High School is currently seeking to hire a JV Cheer Coach. This position is responsible for assisting the Varsity Head Cheer Coach with mentoring, training, coaching, and coordinating aspects of the cheer program while maintaining the total development of the student-athlete as the highest priority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Works within the basic framework and philosophy of the Moreau Catholic High School Athletic department.
- Assists the Head Varsity Cheer Coach in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Instructs team members as to changes in the rules and teaches fundamentals of the sport as outlined by the Head Varsity Cheer Coach.
- Understands the proper administrative chain of command and refers to all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all meetings in which attendance is required.
- Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program.
- Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sports events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility usage times.
- Never criticizes, admonishes, or argues with the Head Varsity Cheer Coach or any staff members within the ears or eyes of the team or parents.
- Adheres to the Moreau Catholic High School Field Trip and Transportation policies.
- Guarantees that all school equipment including school vehicles are used only for official school business and are operated safely.
- Performs other duties that are consistent with the nature of the positions and that may be requested by the Head Varsity Cheer Coach.
The ideal candidates will:
- Possess prior experience as a participant or leader in a cheer program.
- Possess the ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position as outlined above.
- Possess interpersonal and communication skills marked by the virtues of integrity and respect.
