Founded in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Moreau Catholic High School emphasizes college-preparatory excellence in all programs designed to facilitate the informative, formative, and transformative needs of the individual student. Located approximately 25 miles southeast of San Francisco, in Hayward, California, the school is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Description
Moreau Catholic is seeking an experienced educator to teach one section of American Sign Language (ASL 1), beginning with the 25-26 school year. We anticipate adding additional levels of ASL in future school years. Candidates should currently possess a California Teaching Credential and/or working toward a credential and hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience with the Canvas Learning platform is desirable. Additionally, the candidate will be able to:
- Maintain high standards of student performance and engage students using a variety of pedagogical methods.
- Demonstrate and promote the responsible use of technology as a learning tool.
- Provide help for students outside of class time.
- Collaborate with other members of the department.
- Establish a learning environment where every student’s right to learn is respected.
Salary
Compensation is based on our faculty salary scale: $61,745 - $116,850 (annually). Actual salary would be prorated based on one section (20%).
