Parent Pledge Program
Moreau Catholic High School’s partnership with parents, guardians, and family members of each one of our students is vital to the educational experience of our entire student family. The relationship harkens back to the very first Holy Cross school, St. Croix in Le Mans, France, where Father Moreau created a Parents Association of local parents to support and at times influence local officials and community members to support the endeavors and overall success of the school. It was a smashing success.
What's a Parent Pledge?
Over 80% of our current tuition is used to simply cover the salaries and benefits of our extraordinary faculty and staff. In order for Moreau Catholic to continue to grow and meet the ever-changing landscape of high school education, your investment in the Parent Pledge Program is crucial and allows us to stay at the leading edge of delivering excellence in college preparatory education. The ongoing support that parents provide has been critical since the school’s founding in 1965, because the cost to educate each student exceeds the amount we receive in tuition.
Every year, funds raised through the Parent Pledge Program have enabled Moreau Catholic High School to enrich and transform the lives of our students by upgrading educational tools and technologies in the classroom, continuing to expand our co-curricular programming while keeping tuition increases at a minimum, enhancing the resources and support for student social-emotional development and wellness, and increasing the diversity of our talented student body through expanding our tuition assistance program. In 2020, we remodeled our Dance Studio and Main Gym. Over the years we have been able to remodel our science classrooms along with much-needed remodels of the Br. Gary Stone, C.S.C. Academic Support Center, our Media Arts Classroom, and Social Justice Classroom.
Moreau Catholic High School expects all families to make a tax-deductible, four-year pledge on behalf of each of their students currently attending the school. Honoring our legacy to Father Moreau and the first parents who became part of the Holy Cross Family, we encourage families to consider making a gift at our 1965 Level of $1,965 annually. Those families who contribute at that level will be invited to our 1965 Level reception.
Please see back page to read our FAQs to learn more about how fulfilling your pledge will benefit your student and all students over the course of their four years at Moreau Catholic. With gratitude for the parents before us and the gifts they left for our families, let’s pay it forward and support our current students AND the next generation of Mariners. Remember, WE are Holy Cross!
