Liturgical Life
As a Catholic school in the Holy Cross tradition, Moreau Catholic High School is centered on the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith. Students, faculty, and staff gather in prayer and worship to encounter Christ, celebrate the Church’s sacramental life, and mark significant moments in the life of our school community. Through these celebrations, we grow together in faith, hope, and love.
Liturgical Ministries
Art & Environment
The Art & Environment Ministry helps prepare and care for Moreau Catholic’s sacred worship spaces, reflecting the beauty and spirit of the Church’s liturgical life. Working with the school liturgist, student leaders create prayerful and welcoming environments in the Main Gym and St. André Chapel that celebrate the liturgical seasons, school Masses, and special events. Through their creativity and stewardship, they help foster spaces where the community can encounter God in prayer and worship.
Sacristans & Altar Servers
Sacristans and Altar Servers assist in the preparation and celebration of the liturgy, serving with reverence at the altar and helping prepare the chapel, sacred vessels, and liturgical materials. Through their service, they help ensure that each liturgy is celebrated with dignity, beauty, and prayerfulness, fostering an environment where the Moreau Catholic community can encounter Christ in Word and Sacrament.
Eucharistic Ministers
Faculty, staff, and confirmed students serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, assisting in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during the Eucharist. Through their reverent service, they help the Moreau Catholic community encounter Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and strengthen the unity of the Body of Christ.
Music Ministry (Cantors, Choir, and Instrumentalists)
Music Ministers share their God-given gifts to lead the Moreau Catholic community in prayer and worship through song. Cantors, choir members, and instrumentalists play an essential role in the celebration of the Eucharist, fostering full participation and deepening the prayer of the assembly. Through this ministry, students grow in faith, leadership, and an appreciation for the sacred role of music in the Church’s liturgy.
Lectors
Student lectors proclaim the Word of God and lead the Universal Prayer during liturgy, serving the assembly with clarity, reverence, and faith. Open to all students of Moreau Catholic, this ministry invites and forms our students to engage deeply with Sacred Scripture and to proclaim it with respect and care. Through their service, lectors help the community listen attentively to God’s Word and respond prayerfully.
Hospitality
Hospitality ministers serve as a visible sign of welcome, helping to create a prayerful and inclusive environment for worship and community life at Moreau Catholic. They greet and accompany those who gather for liturgy, and assist in preparing Campus Ministry spaces for prayer and community gatherings. Through their gifts of presence, attentiveness, and relationship-building, they foster a genuine sense of belonging where all are received with dignity and care. In this way, they embody the spirit of hospitality at the heart of the Congregation of Holy Cross, reflecting Christ’s call to welcome all.
Masses
*All liturgical celebrations take place in the Main Gym at 10:10 am
Morning Mass: Every Wednesday in Saint Andre Chapel at 7:15 am

Advent & Lenten Confessions
*Confessions will be held at Moreau Catholic High School during school hours, with sign-ups through email and through students’ Theology teacher (Contact Ann Khristine Tabora for more information)
