MOREAU VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL WIN SHARE OF MVAL TITLE

The Varsity Boys Basketball team earned a share of the MVAL title for the second year with Logan. They defeated Logan the first time they played by 10 points, but last night fell to a very determined Colt team 65-61. The league has no tie breaker in place to determine the automatic berth to NCS so there is supposed to be a play off game, but just like last year, the two teams agreed to work it out without having to play an additional game. The Mariners will get the Automatic Berth, just as Logan got last year. The players and the coaches respect each other too much, to go through a play off game that could result in injury, and just a day after a very competitive and hard fought game when both teams are fatigued. We expect a great playoff run by both of these talented teams. The NCS draw is Sunday, you can find the brackets at www.cifncs.org/basketball.

LJ Anderson'18 Signs to play at San Jose State. Recruited as a cornerback, Lj can play on both sides of the ball and is not only fast, and has a great vertical leap, but also has great vision on the field. Excited to see him play at the next level!
