Director of Athletics – Operations

Moreau Catholic is currently seeking a Director of Athletics – Operations. This position will manage all operational and administrative functions for our Athletic department. The successful candidate will support and participate in the school’s strategic planning process; interpret school policy and procedures; recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate coaches; provide guidance and supervision for trainers and athletes.
In partnership with school administrators, this position will represent Moreau Catholic and promote competitions, coaches, athletes and alumni. He/she will also develop and coordinate game schedules and make necessary arrangements for all interscholastic events; determine rosters and scholastic eligibility of all candidates for athletic teams; attend and supervise athletic events; coordinate athletic facility/grounds maintenance, and manage the purchase/inventory of equipment, uniforms, athletic wear, game day concessions and ticket sales.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree sports management or a related degree, and 3+ years’ of experience managing high school or intercollegiate athletics programs. Knowledge of the rules and by-laws of CIF and appropriate sectional rules is required, along with proficiency with computer programs, systems, and databases.
