Moreau Catholic High School is an independent Catholic coeducational institution founded in 1965 and sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for the maximum term possible. There are approximately 950 students currently enrolled in grades 9 through 12. The school is located in Hayward, California.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Marketing & Communications to develop and execute strategies that build brand awareness, supports student recruitment efforts, and promotes the vision and mission of Moreau Catholic to the community. Working closely with the President and other stakeholders, the Director will plan, create, coordinate and implement outreach programs to recruit students, raise community awareness, and promote school events. The successful candidate will serve as an ambassador and is charged with establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and friends of Moreau.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide expertise for the President, Board of Trustees, and school personnel in developing and implementing a strategic marketing and communications plan to advance Moreau Catholic brand identity, and the vision, mission and goals of the school.
  • Develop and calendar marketing and communications strategies and events using various media including website, promotional materials, advertising, social media, print and electronic formats.
  • Supervise the design and content of various school publications.
  • Liaising with outside marketing partner(s) to ensure smooth delivery of agency-related initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ of experience in in marketing, communications, or journalism. Master’s degree preferred. Proficiency with computer programs, systems, databases, and the use of technology and online communication channels (website, social media, etc.). Superb writing and editing skills, and experience and comfort facilitating committee meetings, preparing and making presentations in a variety of public forums required.
