At Moreau Catholic, we evaluate the emerging needs of our learners and develop innovative strategies for instruction. Virtual reality, bioprinting, and a state-of-the-art incubator space are all part of our transformational programs.
Moreau students experience new ways of imagining, creating, and exploring science in our Science Innovation Lab. We believe that learning is best experienced by doing, and have adopted virtual holographic technology to bring learning to life.
Mariners are leaders of the next generation of innovators, learning to change the world in unique and dynamic ways. They are risk takers and inventors, who give particular focus to inventing with a purpose -- creating processes and designing projects that will contribute to making our world a better place.
Selected as a pilot school for educational 3D bioprinting, Moreau Catholic offers students the opportunity to develop and apply code to print proteins, cells, and DNA with innovative, educational applications for biotechnology, bioengineering, and green engineering. This technology is revolutionizing the professional industry in the areas of tissue engineering, organ production, and medical device development.
Through our Holy Cross Social Justice program, Moreau students incubate ideas to become reality, where passion intersects with faith to become a vocation. They build strength of compassionate awareness through contemplative prayer, and impart their love and knowledge to the greater community in the form of a hands-on capstone project.
The Maker Lab is a space in which all students can channel their creativity in a hands-on manner, taking the power and innovation of technology beyond the screen to create their own models and inventions. With equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutter, Raspberry Pis, and Arduinos, students can design and construct their own visual and interactive models of the concepts they are learning in the classroom. The Maker Lab engages students in the process of learning and ingrains in them a passion for bringing their ideas to life.
