Graduate Brandon Tieu ’14
My dreams for the future at this point in my life are to continue my education to the MBA level, intern at an emerging tech company in college, and one day start my own business in a brand new field.”
Members of the Class of 2014 shared their aspirations and gratitude for the influential relationships they developed with their educators. 2014 graduate Brandon Tieu lettered in track and football and earned the second highest grade point average in his class. Athletic Director Christine Krisman expressed her admiration: “Brandon has been an outstanding member of the Athletic Department for all four years. He inspired his peers and younger athletes with his work ethic and his commitment to the sports. Brandon has been an inspiration to faculty, staff, students, and teammates and truly embodies the spirit and philosophy of the Holy Cross Mission.
This fall, Brandon will attend the University of Southern California and major in Business Administration. He credits several of his teachers for his success: “Mr. Zegura’s love for teaching AP Economics and the way he simplified economic principles influenced me to take up my major. Math instructor Mr. Rangchi and Physics instructor Mr. Tobler have influenced my desire to study an applied math or physics based minor. Football Coach Andrew Cotter taught me how to truly persevere in the face of adversity.” His mother, Ingrid Tieu, added, “The 1:1 laptop and technology programs excited and stimulated Brandon and exposed him to many of the advances and possibilities in technology. He also explored a more creative side of himself by taking ceramics and digital photography classes in the excellent visual arts program.
We have truly been blessed to have many wonderful people come alongside and help us in our parenting journey at Moreau.”
