Moreau Catholic High School annual Funding Hopes and Dreams—Gala for Tuition Assistance—is specifically dedicated to raising money for our tuition assistance program. Following Blessed Basil Moreau’s philosophy to “Bring Hope” to families who might not afford a faith-based, college preparatory education Moreau Catholic is committed to offering tuition assistance to as many families as possible. With almost 50% of our families requiring tuition assistance, your support is more critical now than ever.
Alumni Keynote Speaker: Terry Eidson ’76
Terry Eidson graduated from Moreau Catholic High School in 1976. After graduating from St. Mary’s College, he began teaching Religious Studies at De La Salle High School. In the past 43 years, Mr. Eidson has held almost every position you can hold as a Catholic educator. He has been the Director of Student Activities, the face of Campus Ministry, the Assistant Dean of Students, the head of the Religious Studies Department, and the Athletic Director. He has coached hundreds of students in football, baseball, and golf.
Master of ceremonies/Auctioneer: Patrick Landeza
Patrick Kahakauwila Kamaholelani Landeza is an award-winning slack key guitarist who has been producing Hawaiian concerts for over twenty years. He has become much of the West Coast’s go-to man for all things related to Hawaiian music, and he is one of the essential seams binding California’s Hawaiian community together.
Student Speaker: Fern Mao ’24
Fern Mao is a current senior at Moreau Catholic High School. She is the First Chair Tenor Saxophone for Moreau Catholic’s Band and Orchestra and is part of the Varsity Girls’ Volleyball. Fern’s leadership extends beyond athletics; she is the Co-President of the Taiwanese Club and an Executive Link Crew member.
